Open your NeoOffice drawing pad thingy. Or whatever you use to lay stuff out in. I'm pretty much completely image program illiterate, so I don't bother with things like... photoshop. Or Illustrator. Or whatever. Anyway, open that, select the font you want (I used one that starts with a Z and has alot of what Mr. KM called "swashes." Which makes me think he's a pirate in disguise.

Google the state you're getting married in (for me it was the KY!) and "outline"... that took me to this website and it was awesome. Copy the image and adjust it to size. Then type the rest of your information. Copy and paste to put 2 on a page. Adjust your margins if you have to so they're not too close together.
Print out 50 pages of these on ivory cardstock. Cut them up! Using the 1/16" hole punch, make a hole where you think your city is. Approximate. No one is going to measure the scale. Tell yourself that over and over again when you totally misjudge where Lexington is. Repeatedly.
Set those aside! You'll need them (duh). Post a frustrated thread on WeddingBee asking for barn stamps. Have user twocatcupcake solve all your problems by finding a perfect barn sketch. Copy the design into another drawing page and paste the barn 8 times.
Cut 'em out!
Make a HUGE mess on your kitchen table:

Organize them:
And set them aside!Only one more series of steps, I promise! Take another drink. I've moved to tea.
ZAPF CHANCERYYYYY OMG, for the win!
ReplyDeleteSorry. Like A, I may also be a font-aholic. And it was a joke on The Office. Wow. I am lame.
