I'm sure most of you who took into to psych in college knows about Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. If need a brush up, Wikipedia is to the rescue! In order to fufill the upper tiers of self-fufillment, you have to meet the basic needs on the lower tiers, starting at the very bottom and moving your way up. We really had to do the same thing with our venue and what I wanted. Basically, take this chart...

... and then apply it to what I want in a venue! Like so.

Clearly, this was going to be a tall order, starting with the date! Thankfully, because we changed from our original church to a chapel (more on that later), we gained alot of flexibility, which means we could do different dates at different venues, depending on who had what available!
Most of the venues we looked at had 150 people capacity, easy. So that was good. Catering was a sticking point for the one place I wanted the most and it was ultimately the deal breaker. Alcohol... eh, we don't really drink but boy, do our friends ever! However, some of my parents very best friends own a liquor store and would totally be willing to give us our alcohol at cost. So it would be nice if we could do that too. Tall order, considering we had to take the dates that were offered... stay tuned!
