I turn my camera on... II

So, my favorite photographer was booked for July 31st. But then, as I was talking to one of my best friends, I realized that if we had our wedding on July 31st, she couldn't come. She was a BRIDESMAID! I needed her! She just couldn't not be there. So we moved our date back a week, to August 7th (our venue was available then too). And promptly emailed Kentucky Studio again! And they were available...

In theory (I know, I'm so mean). They weren't booked that day, but they were supposed to shoot a destination wedding in Jamaica the following Monday and the people they were shooting hadn't booked their flights yet! Cue a MONTH of emailing back and forth, meeting with other photographers all the while hoping and praying that the other couple would be willing to book their flights on Sunday morning.

It was probably one of the most agonizing months of my life, because once I have my heart set on something, I pretty much don't let it go. And while I wasn't going to move my date yet again, I really, really wanted them!

The day AFTER we got engaged...

(I love this picture)

I got a phone call from Amber telling me that she could shoot our wedding! So next week, we go to their studio to talk to them, make sure Alan is comfortable with them, so on and so forth.

I now have the big 5 marked off my list! Officiant, church, reception venue, photographer, and dress!
